Controversy Over Sexual Harassment During Chosun University Freshman MT; Police Investigation Launched
The police have initiated an investigation into allegations of sexual harassment and assault that occurred during a freshman bonding event of a department at Chosun University.

On the 23rd, the Gwangju Eastern Police Station announced that they have begun a preliminary investigation regarding the incident.
The controversy erupted after revelations surfaced on the anonymous university community platform Everytime, indicating that some students pressured others into "love shots" and made lewd comments during the freshman bonding event held from March 31 to April 2.
As the situation escalated, the student council of the department issued an apology, stating, "This was an incident that occurred only among same-sex students," and acknowledged that some groups used inappropriate language.

So far, no individuals have been charged, but the police plan to thoroughly investigate the legality of the incident.
Chosun University is also reviewing the possibility of an internal investigation through its Human Rights and Ethics Center and plans to take appropriate action in accordance with university regulations if any harm is confirmed.
