Osan City Begins Support for Elementary School Entrance Celebration Fund

Osan City in Gyeonggi Province is officially implementing a 'Celebration Fund for Elementary School Entrants' program for new students.

This program is targeted at children who have continued to be registered as residents of Osan City from the date of admission until the application date, for those who entered elementary school in March of this year.

According to Osan City Hall on the 7th, guardians can apply online via Government 24 from the 12th to November 30th, or by visiting their local administrative welfare center to submit the application form.

The support amount is 100,000 KRW per student, and it will be provided in the form of the local currency, 'Osaekjeon.' The payment will be made by the end of the month following the month of application, and it can be used for designated items such as books, stationery, glasses, clothing, shoes, and bags. The usage period is limited to December 31 of this year.

The purpose of this Entrance Celebration Fund support program is to provide practical assistance for purchasing school supplies and living necessities for households with new elementary school students. It is expected to contribute to reducing the burden of educational expenses and achieving universal educational welfare.

An official from Osan City stated, "This Entrance Celebration Fund is part of a universal educational welfare initiative to support all children to start on an equal footing. We will implement it meticulously to ensure that both children and parents receive practical benefits."
