The Korea Football Association has completed the formation of its 55th executive. This new executive will transition to a system led by an executive director from among football professionals, appointing Kim Seung-hee, the manager of Daejeon Korail, as the executive director.

Kim Seung-hee, a 'one-club man' who has been active as both a player and coach at Daejeon Korail for 35 years, is regarded as the right person to lead the innovation of the association based on his field experience. Chairman Jeong Mong-kyu expressed his intent to strengthen communication with the field and to use this as a starting point for change and innovation through Kim Seung-hee's appointment.
This executive is composed of a total of 27 members, including vice presidents and committee chairs.

The vice president group includes Shin Jeong-sik, president of the Jeonnam Football Association, and Kim Byung-ji, president of Gangwon FC, among others. Former Vietnam national team coach Park Hang-seo and former Indonesia national team coach Shin Tae-yong will also be in charge of supporting the national teams and international cooperation, respectively. Lee Yong-soo, an honorary professor at Sejong University, will be responsible for the association's vision and strategic planning.
The committee structure has been reorganized from eight to nine, with a new Communication Committee and International Committee established. The Communication Committee will be led by Ki Won-seok, former editor-in-chief of Sports Seoul, prioritizing fan communication and public engagement as core values. The International Committee will be headed by Jeon Han-jin, vice president of the East Asian Football Federation, who will oversee the bidding for the Asian Cup and FIFA-related tasks.

The key committee chairs will work as full-time executives to implement governance with authority and responsibility. The Fairness Committee will be appointed from outside members, with successors to be selected at the 2026 general assembly. Board members will be selected mainly from coaches at various levels and subject matter experts to ensure diverse opinions are reflected in policies.
The Korea Football Association will also appoint former Korea University Football Association chairman Byun Seok-hwa and former Jeonbuk Football Association chairman Kim Dae-eun as advisors to provide counsel on policy formulation and execution. These changes are expected to be an important step for the development of Korean football.
