Caught by citizens while illegally filming at a household goods store
A man in his 20s who was illegally filming at a household goods store in Songpa-gu, Seoul, was apprehended by the police thanks to the brave actions of a citizen.
According to the Kyunghyang Shinmun on the 19th, the Songpa Police Station in Seoul arrested the man, identified as A, on the 11th for violating the Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes through the use of cameras.

The illegal filming act was discovered by a citizen, B, who was using the same store. B immediately reported it to the police and intervened to prevent A from committing further offenses.
Attempted escape resulted in injuries from broken glass
However, A attempted to flee by pushing past B to avoid arrest. During this struggle, a physical altercation ensued between the two, resulting in A colliding with a glass door, causing it to break.
Both A and B were injured from the glass shards, but it is reported that B did not let go of A until he was caught.

Thanks to B's courageous actions, the police were able to arrest A at the scene. B is expected to receive an award for his bravery.
Meanwhile, both injured individuals received treatment at a hospital, and an investigation into the specific circumstances of A's offenses is ongoing.
