Actor Choi Myung-bin had a meaningful time with the audience. The movie "Girl Pulls a Carrier" (Directed by Yoon Shim-kyung) was officially invited to the 26th Jeonju International Film Festival. Choi Myung-bin attended the audience talk (GV) and Jeonju Talk Talk program on the 2nd and 4th.
"Girl Pulls a Carrier" tells the story of a girl who is abandoned by her adoptive parents and meets a tennis training partner. While staying at a friend's house, she wishes to become part of their family.
Choi Myung-bin plays the role of "Young-sun." He described his character as "someone who was abandoned by their parents but is mature and full of confidence." Young-sun yearns for a "real family" in the film and goes through growing pains.
He also shared honest feelings he experienced while acting. Choi Myung-bin explained, "I live together with Sua (played by Moon Seung-ah). Seeing Sua, who has more than I do, made me feel envious." He continued, "But later, I began to feel that Sua is pitiful. When you look closely, everyone has their own circumstances," adding, "Thanks to that, I approached the character with complex emotions."
He showcased a wide acting spectrum. Choi Myung-bin delicately expressed the unstable psychology and complicated emotions of adolescence, garnering responses from the audience during the film screening.
Meanwhile, Choi Myung-bin will also meet global audiences through another leading role. The movie "Sisterhood" (Directed by Yoon Eun-kyung) has been selected as a contender for the "Fantastic 7" at the 78th Cannes Film Festival.
