Cho Seung-woo, Nam Joo-hyuk, Noh Yoon-seo, The World of the Ear… ‘Donggung’, Netflix Production Confirmed

Actors Cho Seung-woo, Nam Joo-hyuk, and Roh Yoon-seo collaborate in an occult drama to unravel the curse lingering in the Crown Prince’s Palace. The Netflix series ‘Crown Prince’s Palace’ (working title, written by Kwon So-ra and Seo Jae-won, directed by Choi Jung-kyu) confirmed its production on the 12th and revealed the lineup.

‘Crown Prince’s Palace’ tells the story of Gucheon (played by Nam Joo-hyuk), a person with the ability to traverse the world of spirits, and Saengang (played by Roh Yoon-seo), a court lady with secrets, who are summoned by the king (played by Cho Seung-woo) to uncover the curse in the palace.

Nam Joo-hyuk takes on the role of Gucheon, a character who can cross into the world of spirits and has the ability to slay ghosts with a sword. He infiltrates the palace to solve a bizarre incident that happened in the royal family and confronts the dark world.

Roh Yoon-seo plays the role of the court lady Saengang, who is endowed with the ability to hear the voices of spirits. She uses her ability to dig into the palace’s secrets together with Gucheon.

Cho Seung-woo leads the drama as the king. He secretly summons Gucheon and Saengang to lift the curse on the palace. He rules benevolently but harbors deep darkness within. The complex inner workings of the king are portrayed.

The production team lineup also raised expectations. Writers Kwon So-ra and Seo Jae-won of ‘Bulgasal’ and ‘The Guest’ penned the script, while director Choi Jung-kyu of ‘The Devil Judge’ and ‘Red Moon Blue Sun’ directs.
