'Idol' Minnie makes her screen debut.
Minnie has been cast as the lead in the Thai remake of the movie '50 First Dates.' '50 First Dates' is a romantic comedy that was released in 2024. It tells the story of Lucy Whitmore (played by Drew Barrymore), who suffers from short-term memory loss, and Henry Roth (played by Adam Sandler), a zookeeper who falls in love with her at first sight.
In the remake, Minnie transforms into the female lead and showcases her delicate acting skills. The film is co-produced by Sony Pictures International Productions and Thai movie company GDH.
Her co-star is Thailand's model and actor Nadech Kugimiya, who has appeared in the Thai version of 'My Love From the Star' in 2019 and last year's highest-grossing Thai film 'Death Whisperer 2.'
The production is directed by renowned Thai director Mez Tharaton. The screenplay is co-written by Thodsapon Tipthakna and Benjamaporn Surabua. Filming is set to begin in October.
Minnie made her acting debut in the Netflix series 'I Wish the Earth Would End Tomorrow' in 2021. She is expected to bring her unique bright and charming allure to this project.
Meanwhile, the group 'Idol' will take the stage at Japan's largest music festival, 'Summer Sonic 2025,' on the 16th and 17th.
