Cheongju High School Stabbing Incident Revealed as Premeditated Crime

The stabbing incident that occurred at a high school in Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province has been identified as a planned crime.

Seventeen-year-old A, a student, injured six individuals including school officials, and the police are expected to apply for an arrest warrant on charges of attempted murder and special injury.

According to police investigations, A prepared four knives at home the day before the incident and brought them to school in a bag. He stated, "School life has been very difficult, so I prepared the knives to harm anyone."

Additionally, the police secured a note containing the message, "I will commit a crime, so please know that I will not be here after the 28th."

A has reportedly struggled to adapt to school life and has felt psychological pressure due to economic difficulties and family circumstances.

A enrolled last year as a special education student and was placed in a special class, but this year he transitioned to a regular class while continuing his school life.

The police plan to forensic analyze A's mobile phone and laptop to investigate any additional preparation for the crime and its motives.

On the day of the incident, A arrived at school early and engaged in a conversation with the school counselor before using force, exiting into the hallway, and wielding a knife. As a result, a total of seven individuals, including himself, were injured.
