On the 23rd, a post titled "Customers who intentionally paid for the bill of another table (who ordered less)" was shared in the small business owners' community "It Hurts to Be a Boss."
Mr. A, who runs a franchise pub, explained, "It's a large store, so weekends are chaotic. Last weekend, while I was away, a part-time employee handled the billing, and this incident occurred."
Intentional 'dine-and-dash' behavior angers small business owners
According to Mr. A, the group of guests consisted of four people who ordered over 90,000 won worth of snacks and drinks.
However, when it was time to pay the bill, they proceeded to pay using the check from table 5, which had ordered significantly less, instead of their actual table number, 6.

Mr. A expressed frustration, stating, "The employee didn’t mistakenly process the wrong table. When they were asked, 'Is this table 6?' they denied it and insisted on paying for the table that ordered less. It's clearly intentional. Is there any way to recover the loss?"
Upon seeing the post, netizens commented with various opinions, such as "If they paid by card, can't they be traced?", "They’ll probably argue it wasn't intentional", "These people are really awful", and "I think it needs to be reported."
