Actor Chae Jong Hyeop is reviving memories of his first love.

tvN's new Monday-Tuesday drama 'Destined With You' (written by Park Geu Ro and directed by Song Hyun Wook) has released character stills. They feature both the present and past of Kang Hoo Young (played by Chae Jong Hyeop).

Kang Hoo Young is a financial planner. Thanks to his handsome appearance and sharp intellect, he has always led a smooth life, achieving the best results without much effort.

However, there was one question he couldn't answer — his first love from his school days. He looked flustered after receiving a love letter, confused by unfamiliar emotions.

Fast forward 10 years, he has returned to Korea from the United States after a long time. His cynical personality is evident from his look with sunglasses and a leather jacket.

An unexpected change arrives, as he reunites with someone who summons those blurry memories of his first love. His gentle gaze towards the other person evokes a sense of excitement.

Chae Jong Hyeop explained, "I was curious and intrigued by the concept of reuniting with a first love by chance. The aspect of realizing feelings of love is a major charm point."

Regarding his character, he said, "Hoo Young might appear dry and irritable at first, but he is someone who is awkward at expressing emotions and rarely shows them."

He added, "Through his ties with his first love, he realizes what love is. I put a lot of thought into portraying Hoo Young's transformation in a relatable way,” raising expectations.

'Doomed to Love You' is a romance about rekindling memories of a first love. It’s a story of falling in love again with someone who was clumsy and awkward. The first episode airs on the 22nd.
