Cha Joo-young promotes anti-Japanese cultural heritage…Campaign for the 80th anniversary of liberation with Seo Kyung-duk

Actress Cha Joo-young has embarked on a special talent donation to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Independence. She highlighted the anti-Japanese cultural heritage.

Seong Kyung-deok, a professor at Sungshin Women's University, announced on social media on the 5th, "To celebrate the 80th anniversary of Independence, we have produced and released a multilingual video titled 'Anti-Japanese Heritage Captured in Light' with Cha Joo-young."

The video is approximately 4 minutes and 30 seconds long and produced in Korean and English versions. Under the title 'Anti-Japanese Heritage Captured in Light,' it conveyed the spirit of resistance and the meaning of liberation both domestically and internationally.

Cha Joo-young stated, "August 15, 1945, is the day we regained the sovereignty and territory of our nation, which was taken by Japan. It was not something that was automatically obtained due to Japan's defeat."

She continued, "It was the result of the sacrifices and dedication of independence activists who fought for independence," adding, "The cause of the anti-Japanese independence struggle was the righteous army, which is referred to as the immortal national spirit."

In the face of poor conditions, she touched upon the spirit of the righteous army. "They continued their indomitable resistance without even proper armament. People from all walks of life fought against Japan," she explained.

She introduced letters and proclamations that prove the activities of the righteous army during the Japanese occupation. "Records that were taken away by Japan have returned to the homeland after a century," she revealed.

The missile manuscript of Lee Beom-jin and documents related to the righteous army from the late Joseon period will have their historical first exhibition. To mark the 80th anniversary of Independence, it will be displayed from October 12 to October 12 at Deoksugung Dondeokjeon.

Cha Joo-young stated, "It is our responsibility to take an interest in and strive to preserve and continue the precious history we have regained, which has been passed down to us by today's Republic of Korea."

She also shared her thoughts on participating in the campaign. "I am happy to convey anti-Japanese cultural heritage directly through my voice. I just hope many netizens both domestic and international will watch," she strongly expressed.

Professor Seong emphasized, "Through the campaign, I wanted to introduce anti-Japanese independence cultural heritage online, and commemorate the 80th anniversary of Independence together through offline exhibitions."

Meanwhile, physical materials and cultural heritage related to the content of the video will be exhibited. It is open to everyone for viewing.
