Actors Cha Joo-young and Lee Hyun-wook will depict the fateful tale of 'Won-gyeong'. TVING announced on the 19th, "The new original series 'Won-gyeong: Dano's Fate' (written by Lee Young-mi, directed by Kim Sang-ho) has been confirmed for release on January 21st next year." Following the release of the main story, the prequel will be out soon after.

'Won-gyeong: Dano's Fate' is a prequel to the tvN and TVING original drama 'Won-gyeong'. It portrays the fateful first meeting of Won-gyeong (played by Cha Joo-young) and Lee Bang-won (played by Lee Hyun-wook), who shared the same dream before encompassing the world.

The first still cuts have been unveiled, catching attention with a distinctly romantic atmosphere different from the main story. In the photos, Won-gyeong and Bang-won share a love that defies the court's norms and gazes during the late Goryeo period.

First, Won-gyeong shields Bang-won from the sunlight as he lies on her lap with his eyes closed, as if enjoying a nap on a warm afternoon. Before conflict arises between the two, it is evident that only love fills the space between them.

The production team hinted, "The main story portrays the intense tale hidden within the political partnership and marriage of Won-gyeong and Lee Bang-won. The prequel captures their fateful first encounter and budding feelings of affection."

They further stated, "By planning and presenting both the main story and the prequel simultaneously, we aimed to increase the focus on a single work. It offers an experience of unfolding a story from beginning to end together."

'Won-gyeong: Dano's Fate' will be released on TVING at 12 PM on the 21st of next month. Prior to that, the main story 'Won-gyeong' will pre-release episodes 1 and 2 on TVING at 2 PM on the 6th of the same month, and broadcast episode 1 on tvN at 8:50 PM.
