Child Urinates in Public Near Convenience Store, Mother Leaves Without Cleaning Up
A man running a convenience store in Cheorwon, Gangwon-do, recently had a shocking experience.
A female customer visited the store with her child, and when the child said they needed to urinate, the mother sent the child outside, telling them to wait by the car. However, the child, after stepping outside, stood for a moment, pulled down their pants, and began to urinate in front of the convenience store.

What was even more shocking was the mother’s actions after purchasing items. Despite witnessing her child urinating in public, she got the child into the car and drove away without taking any action. As a result, the store owner, Mr. A, had to clean up the mess himself.
This incident was reported on JTBC's “Incident Report” on the 11th, and the scene was fully captured by external CCTV at the store.
Store Owner's Bewilderment and Online Reactions
Mr. A expressed his bewilderment, saying, "There was a restroom outside the store, and if she had even asked, I could have directed her to it." He also conveyed his anger, stating, "It's ridiculous that she allowed her child to relieve themselves on the street without taking any action."
Netizens also reacted critically upon hearing the news.

Comments like “A child reflects their parents,” “The child may have made a mistake out of urgency, but the parent should not act so shamelessly,” and “At least they should pretend to clean it up” followed.
This incident makes one reconsider issues of decorum and responsibility in public spaces.
While a child's mistake can be understandable, the mother's failure to clean up afterward has disappointed many. Such cases highlight the importance of basic etiquette in public places and consideration for others.
