Cats Eye has made its first entry on the Billboard 'Hot 100.' Despite being a rookie for less than a year, they showcased their global potential.
Cats Eye released their single 'Gnarly' on the 30th of last month. According to the latest Billboard chart (dated the 17th), the song debuted at number 92 on the main single chart, the 'Hot 100.'
This is the first time a song from them has entered the Billboard 'Hot 100.' Cats Eye also charted for two weeks on the main album chart, the 'Billboard 200,' with their first EP 'SIS.'
The success of 'Gnarly' was anticipated. On the 10th (Korea Standard Time), they entered the UK's major pop chart, the Official Top 100, where 'Gnarly' peaked at number 52.
But that's not all. 'Gnarly' has also shown rapid growth on the world's largest music streaming platform, Spotify, reaching 1 million streams just 18 hours after its release.
Their popularity is particularly strong in North America. The new song topped Spotify's 'Top Songs Debut' chart in the U.S. (dated 2-4) and reached number 2 globally.
The global chart rankings also indicate upward movement. 'Gnarly' entered the 'Daily Top Songs Global' chart at number 91 (dated 2), then remained at 74 (dated 4) and 45 (dated 6).
Meanwhile, Cats Eye is set to release their second EP 'BEAUTIFUL CHAOS' on the 27th of next month.
