HYBE's global girl group Cats Eye has made a bold return with their new sound.
On the 30th at 1 PM, Cats Eye released their new single "Gnarly" on global music streaming platforms, marking the start of a new chapter.
The new release is a track based on the hyperpop genre, infused with dance and punk elements. It features a daring and unique sound, harmonizing the members' bold vocals with straightforward lyrics.
Numerous global hit makers participated in the project, including producer Pink Slip, who has collaborated with artists such as Marshmello, The Chainsmokers, Jason Derulo, and Lauv.
In addition, Team Randolph, Bang Si-hyuk, and Slow Rabbit contributed to the song, showcasing the team's unique color and heightened presence as artists.
The music video revealed a drastic transformation, discarding the lovely image showcased in their previous work. It created a surreal atmosphere with psychedelic direction, constructed in a flow that intertwines reality and fantasy.
Dreamlike imagery contrasts with rough scenes, and with Cats Eye's unrestrained attitude, their multifaceted charm is amplified. The fiery performance maximizes the energy of the track.
Cats Eye is set to make appearances on major music broadcasts in South Korea. They will begin on the 1st of next month with Mnet's "M Countdown," followed by KBS-2TV's "Music Bank," MBC-TV's "Show! Music Core," and SBS-TV's "Inkigayo."
