Driving Under Hypoglycemic Shock, Police Rescue with Chocolate
A bus driver who had an accident due to hypoglycemic shock while driving in Geumcheon-gu, Seoul, regained consciousness thanks to chocolate given by police, and the story has become a hot topic.
On the 29th, a video titled "Driver in Hypoglycemic Shock, Police Saved Life with Chocolate" was released on the YouTube channel 'Seoul Police.' The video captures the incident that occurred on the 3rd of this month at around 7 PM on a road in Geumcheon-gu, Seoul.

At the time of the incident, the yellow bus veered right, collided with a guardrail, and came to a stop after hitting a traffic light. The police, who were dispatched after receiving the report, boarded the bus to check the driver's condition.
The driver was in a dazed state with blurry vision and cold sweat, unable to properly control his body. He recalled the situation, stating, "My whole body wasn't responding, and my mind was hazy. I didn’t even know if I was holding the steering wheel as the car moved."
The police immediately determined that the driver was experiencing hypoglycemic shock and handed him chocolate they regularly carry for emergencies. Thanks to the chocolate, the driver was able to regain some consciousness and was transported to the hospital by the ambulance that arrived shortly after.
The driver, who has since recovered his health, expressed gratitude, saying, "I am really thankful to the person who helped me," and extended his appreciation to the police officer who provided the chocolate.
