BTS Jimin and Jungkook Discharged… Just One Member Left Until Full Group Reunion
BTS members Jimin (real name Park Ji-min, 30) and Jungkook (real name Jeon Jung-kook, 28) were discharged from the military on the same day.
On the 11th, the two completed their 1 year and 6 months of service at the Army's 5th Division's Field Artillery Brigade located in Cheorwon, Gangwon Province, having enlisted together as active-duty soldiers in December of last year.
On that day, they completed their discharge paperwork around 8 AM and exited the base through the gate.

As Jimin and Jungkook appeared wearing military uniforms and got into a black vehicle, numerous domestic and international fans cheered.
Jungkook opened up, saying, "Thank you for coming to see us discharged. Honestly, it’s been so long since I've been in front of a camera, and I didn't put on any makeup, so I feel embarrassed. I don’t know what to say."
He continued, "I want to express my gratitude to the comrades and officers who served with us, as I know it has been tough for them as well. Thank you for taking care of us."
Jimin said, "It has been quite a long time since COVID and our military service, and I am always grateful to you for waiting. Now that we are discharged, I think we can continue to create the picture we have been drawing. We will prepare well and show you."
The site was filled with ARMYs eagerly waiting for the discharge.

Jimin also reflected on his military service, stating, "It was actually my first time in the military, and it wasn’t easy. I didn’t come in thinking it would be easy, but it was a tough place. I grew close to my fellow service members while sharing meals and even sleeping outside."
Fans from all backgrounds who had been eagerly anticipating the member's discharge gathered at the Yeoncheon Public Stadium in Yeoncheon-gun, Gyeonggi Province, to welcome their return to society.
They displayed banners on the streets that read "Warm welcome ♡" and "The world has been waiting for Jungkook's discharge."
Jimin and Jungkook have each established themselves as solo artists, with Jimin's single "Like Crazy" and Jungkook's "Seven" both reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

In January, Jimin shared on Weverse, "The conversations I have with Jungkook before we sleep have changed. As the day to meet ARMY (the official fan club) again gets closer, we often talk about what kind of stage we will perform on and the kind of lives we will lead in the future."
Meanwhile, leader Jin (real name Kim Seok-jin, 32) completed his military service in June of last year, and J-Hope (real name Jung Ho-seok, 31) finished in October. RM (real name Kim Nam-joon, 31) and V (real name Kim Tae-hyung, 30) were discharged just a day earlier on the 10th.
Suga (real name Min Yoon-gi, 32) is set to be discharged from social service on the 21st, raising fan expectations for a full comeback.
