‘Build Up: Vocal Boy Group Survival’ will present high-quality new songs in collaboration with top producers.
On the 7th, Mnet revealed the lineup of producers for the new songs of the semi-finals of ‘Build Up: Vocal Boy Group Survival’ (‘Build Up’). Pdogg, 1601, and PrismFilter are among those participating.
Pdogg is a producer affiliated with Big Hit Music. He has produced numerous hits for BTS, including ‘No More Dream’, ‘Boy In Luv’, ‘Fire’, ‘Blood Sweat & Tears’, and ‘Spring Day’.
The producing team 1601 (Jung Seung-hyun, Park Tae-hyun) will also support the ‘Build Up’ contestants. They are recognized for their work on Jung Seung-hwan’s ‘If It Is You’ and Paul Kim’s ‘Me After You’.
PrismFilter has joined the ‘Build Up’ producer lineup as well. They have handled album productions for top idols such as Zico, (G)I-DLE, and Seventeen, showcasing trendy music.
The production team stated, “Since the semi-final is the first stage to be performed with new songs, we put a lot of effort into recruiting producers. We are thankful to the producers who happily participated.”
They added, “All the new songs appearing in this competition are of a quality that could be debut songs. You can look forward to high-quality tracks.”
Meanwhile, ‘Build Up’ is a boy group survival show. It focuses on selecting vocal-specialized group members centered around current and former idol main vocalists. It airs every Friday at 10:10 PM.
