BTS has proven their popularity in Japan by setting a record for the first time as a foreign artist. According to the latest Oricon chart, BTS's digital single 'Dynamite' surpassed 800 million cumulative plays on the 14th.

BTS is the first foreign artist to achieve 800 million streams with a song. Among all artists, they became the third group overall following YOASOBI and Yuuri.

They added 100 million streams in just 1 year and 4 months. This song surpassed 700 million plays on Oricon last April. Despite being released four years ago, it continues its long run.

'Dynamite' is a disco-pop genre song with a bright and cheerful atmosphere, characterized by its addictive chorus. It delivered a message of hope during the pandemic.

It is BTS's first English song released after their debut. It was the first K-pop song to reach No. 1 on the Billboard main singles chart 'Hot 100'. It topped the chart three times in total.

Meanwhile, BTS continues to set new records daily. Their song 'Spring Day' achieved 1 billion cumulative plays on Melon.
