The year-end awards ceremonies of the three major terrestrial broadcasters, postponed due to the Jeju Air disaster, will be broadcast this month. First, the “2024 MBC Drama Awards” will air on the 5th at 5:10 PM.

It was originally scheduled for the 30th of last month, but was recorded considering the national mourning period. The “2024 KBS Drama Awards,” which was postponed on the 31st of last month, has been rescheduled for the 11th at 9:20 PM. The “SBS Entertainment Awards” was canceled on the 31st.

It is planned to be broadcast live on the 29th during the Lunar New Year. The “MBC Entertainment Awards” also canceled its event on the day of the disaster. There are no plans set yet for its rescheduling.

Meanwhile, the government designated a national mourning period from the 29th of last month until the 4th. Broadcasters joined the mourning by canceling live broadcasts of the award ceremonies.
