Kim Jae-hwan, a former PD from MBC, has once again exposed allegations of abuse of power by Baek Jong-won, the CEO of The Born Korea and a broadcaster.

On the 22nd, PD Kim appeared on the YouTube channel Maebulshow, raising various concerns regarding Baek Jong-won's alleged misconduct in the broadcasting industry and at The Born Korea.

PD Kim was previously affiliated with MBC but is currently running the YouTube channel Studio Ojaena. He has criticized Baek Jong's actions, including the controversy surrounding Yeondon Pork Cutlet.

First, PD Kim claimed that Baek Jong-won had blocked certain cast members from appearing on broadcasts, including singer Kim Ho-jung's participation in the SBS-TV variety show 'Taste of the Town' and a university professor's appearance on another broadcasting station.

The reasons stated were personal grievances. Kim Ho-jung had previously appeared on a competing show, and the university professor had harshly criticized his evaluation methods.

It was asserted that Baek Jong-won directly pressured the production team. PD Kim stated, "Baek Jong-won is the 'super boss,'" and pointed out, "The production team conspired, hence no one has been able to speak out until now."

He further emphasized, "If they were a livelihood-based entertainer, this issue could jeopardize their source of income. This is a clear abuse of power purely based on his personal feelings."

PD Kim also criticized Baek Jong-won for verbally abusing the production team. "He even admitted to me directly that he had a habit of using foul language," he revealed.

He shared testimonies from The Born Korea employees, noting, "Even those who have worked there for a long time unanimously claim they have experienced verbal abuse from Baek Jong-won."

Currently, Baek Jong-won is under investigation by the police for a total of 14 allegations related to various controversies surrounding The Born Korea, including violations of food hygiene laws and food labeling regulations.

On the 6th, he issued an apology and announced the suspension of his broadcasting activities, stating, "I am determined to reform the organization and change the corporate culture with a resolve akin to cutting my own bones. I will halt all broadcasting activities except for programs that are currently being filmed."
