The spokesperson for President Yoon Suk-yeol stated, "The impeachment trial was conducted without adhering to proper procedures and was unfair from the very beginning of the preparation phase, resulting in a decision that is legally incomprehensible." He added, "It can only be viewed as a completely political decision, which is unfortunate."

He continued, "Is this something that can happen in the rule of law in the 21st century? It is truly heartbreaking and concerning," and expressed, "As I have always said, decisions should be made while looking at the larger picture of the forest, but it seems they only focused on the trees, which is disappointing and heartbreaking."
