Son Heung-min decorates his LAFC debut goal with a free kick… Scores first goal against Dallas

Son Heung-min (33, LA FC) has scored his first goal on American soil.

On the morning of the 24th at 9:30 AM (Korean time), Son Heung-min recorded his debut goal with a free kick in the 2025 MLS regular season match against FC Dallas, held at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas.

LA FC deployed a 4-3-3 formation that day, with Son Heung-min starting as a forward alongside Denis Bouanga and Natan Ordaz.

In midfield, Timothy Tillman, Marco Delgado, and Igor Jesus were positioned, while the defense consisted of Ryan Hollingshead, Nkosi Tafari, Eddie Segura, and Sergi Palencia. The goalkeeper was Hugo Lloris.

Just six minutes into the match, LA FC was awarded a free kick from a relatively distant position in front of the box. Son Heung-min took the kick himself, accurately aiming a right-footed shot into the corner of the goal, and the perfectly curled ball shook the net of Dallas. This marked Son Heung-min's first goal after his transfer to LA FC in just his third game.
