A week-long public recommendation period… Reflecting collective intelligence in major public appointments
The Yoon Suk-yeol administration is launching a system that allows citizens to directly recommend major public appointments, such as ministers and vice ministers, as the first step in realizing the governance philosophy of a 'People's Sovereignty Government.'
This is interpreted as a plan to accelerate the operation of government alongside the establishment of a transparent and fair personnel system.

In a briefing on the 10th, presidential spokesperson Kang Yu-jung stated, "Starting today for one week, we are conducting the 'Real Workers Search Project'," adding that "we aim to actively discover talent suitable for public office by utilizing the collective intelligence of citizens."
The target includes ministers, vice ministers, and heads of public institutions, all of whom are positions that can be appointed by the president.
This personnel recommendation applies broadly to major positions, including those at the ministerial and vice ministerial level, as well as heads of public institutions appointed by the president.
Recommended individuals will be systematically registered in the database of the Ministry of Personnel Management, and after undergoing a personnel verification process by the Office of Personnel Management in the presidential office, they may be formally appointed.
Public participation in the recommendation can be done through various methods, including the National Recommendation Program homepage of the Ministry of Personnel Management, official SNS accounts of the presidential office, email (openchoice@korea.kr), and handwritten letters.

"Appointment of Serving Officials, the Principle of the Yoon Suk-yeol Administration"
Kang stated, "This system is not simply an idea solicitation but is designed to ensure that the will of the people is practically reflected in public appointments," adding that "it reflects President Yoon Suk-yeol's strong commitment to actively appointing officials who serve the public."
She further emphasized, "We will operate all personnel processes transparently and fairly, opening the path to a People's Sovereignty Government," while requesting significant public interest and participation.
