A male corpse found by the banks of the Bukhan River in Gapyeong… Identification in progress

While a search operation for missing persons due to heavy rains is ongoing in Gapyeong-gun, a male corpse has been discovered.

According to the police and fire authorities, at around 1:30 PM on the 9th, a rescue dog deployed for the search found the male corpse buried in debris by the Bukhan River in Cheongpyeong-myeon, Gapyeong-gun.

Authorities are recovering the body and confirming its identity while investigating any connections to missing persons. Currently, one missing person in the Gapyeong area is presumed to be a man in his 50s swept away by the swift currents along the riverbank in Deokhyeon-ri.
