An accident occurred in which a helicopter that was extinguishing a forest fire in Buk-gu, Daegu, crashed.

On the 6th, the Daegu Fire Headquarters reported that one person is presumed dead due to the helicopter crash.

Earlier that day, around 3:12 PM, a fire broke out in a mountainous area of Seobyeon-dong, Buk-gu, Daegu, and the forestry authorities had deployed five helicopters to combat the fire.

A representative from the Korea Forest Service stated that the helicopter was identified as belonging to Daegu City Hall.
