Seoul under heatwave warning… Maximum temperature 36 degrees

The Korea Meteorological Administration announced that as of 10 AM on the 24th, a heatwave warning will be issued for some areas nationwide.

A heatwave warning is issued when the maximum perceived temperature exceeds 35 degrees for more than two consecutive days, or when there is a concern for significant damage due to the heat.

Perceived temperature around 35 degrees in most areas nationwide

On this day, the expected maximum temperatures in major cities are as follows: Seoul 36 degrees, Incheon 32 degrees, Chuncheon 33 degrees, Gangneung 34 degrees, Daejeon 35 degrees, Daegu 36 degrees, Jeonju 36 degrees, Gwangju 36 degrees, Busan 33 degrees, and Jeju 32 degrees.

The highest perceived temperatures are expected to rise to around 35 degrees, particularly in the inland areas of Gyeonggi, the eastern coast of Gangwon, southern mountainous regions, and Chungnam, while other regions will experience heat around 33 degrees.

Tropical nights with temperatures above 25 degrees expected in western regions

During the night, low temperatures will remain above 25 degrees in coastal and western inland areas, leading to tropical night conditions. The Meteorological Administration urged the public to refrain from outdoor activities and to pay attention to health management, such as staying hydrated, to prevent heat-related illnesses.
