Meanwhile, former President Yoon was removed from office by an unanimous decision from all judges of the Constitutional Court, 123 days after declaring a state of emergency on December 3, and 112 days after being impeached by the National Assembly.

The Constitutional Court judged all five issues related to the impeachment as 'unconstitutional and illegal' and stated that the benefits gained from removing the respondent far outweigh the losses incurred due to the removal.
