Hampyeong Mountain Wildfire Evacuation Order
On the 28th, a wildfire broke out at Hampyeong Mountain in Buk-gu, Daegu, prompting urgent fire-fighting efforts from forest authorities and firefighters.
According to the Korea Forest Service, a report was received at 2:01 PM that a fire had started in the Hampyeong Mountain area of Nogok-dong, Buk-gu, Daegu.
Considering the seriousness of the situation, authorities issued a Level 1 wildfire alert at 3:10 PM.

Currently, the Korea Forest Service and firefighters have deployed 20 helicopters, 38 pieces of equipment, and 165 personnel to combat the wildfire.
They are making a concerted effort to prevent the flames from spreading by responding simultaneously from both the air and the ground.
The Buk-gu Office also sent out emergency disaster safety text messages. The messages contained warnings stating, "Due to concerns about the spread of the wildfire, nearby residents and hikers are advised to evacuate to a safe location in advance."
The police have dispatched 9 traffic patrol vehicles and 8 teams from the multi-purpose response unit and mobile patrol unit to manage traffic and assist with the evacuation of residents.
Authorities are making every effort to extinguish the fire quickly, and investigations into the cause of the wildfire and the extent of the damage will be conducted after the fire is fully contained.
