Mnet's 'Boys 2 Planet' has changed its strategy. Instead of debuting two teams separately, it will now debut as one integrated team.

On the 23rd, Mnet announced, "We have successfully completed the first filming of 'Boys 2 Planet K' and 'Planet C.' Participants have now entered into full-time training."

'Boys 2 Planet' is a global K-pop boy group project that continues the storyline of its predecessor, 'Boys Planet.' This season, it has expanded into two planets: 'Planet K' and 'Planet C.'

'Planet K' is set to air on July 17, and 'Planet C' will follow on July 18, over two days. However, the program's structure has been modified.

Initially, the plan was to select debut groups from the two separate programs, 'Planet K' and 'Planet C.' Instead, they have decided to unify these to select one global K-pop boy group.

The production team explained, “To enhance the dramatic development and immersion of the storyline, we have changed the program's direction to a unified structure that intertwines the narratives of both programs.”

They further stated, “We have thoroughly explained the changes to the participants and their agencies and have sought their understanding. We will do our best to present high-quality content.”

After the broadcast, Mnet is also in discussions with global partners, including those from the Chinese market, to ensure that the participants from 'Planet K' and 'Planet C' can continue their musical activities.
