BoyNextDoor has become a sensation in Japan, even receiving a related award. Yahoo Japan announced the ‘Yahoo! Search Awards 2024’ on their website on the 4th and selected them as a figure in the Next Break category.

They are the only overseas male artists to make it onto this list, with predictions of a sharp increase in future searches based on data from the past year. Yahoo Japan stated, “BoyNextDoor released a Japanese debut single ‘AND,’ in July and made a mark at events such as ‘Summer Sonic 2024.’”

They further explained, “They have become a hot topic by appearing on music shows, variety programs, and gracing the covers of numerous magazines, leading to a sharp rise in search numbers.” In fact, BoyNextDoor’s popularity is rising locally. Their song ‘AND’ recently received a gold disc ‘Platinum’ certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan.

Their domestic album also garnered attention. Their mini album ‘19.99’ clinched the number one spot on the Oricon weekly ranking, marking a 75% increase in sales compared to previous works, achieving a career high. Meanwhile, BoyNextDoor will kick off their solo tour ‘KNOCK ON Vol.1’ at Incheon Inspire Arena on the 14th and 15th.
