Bonekdo, No. 1 on Japan’s Oricon Daily Chart… Reached the Top Spot Right After Local Debut

BOYNEXTDOOR (hereinafter 'BND') has confirmed their strong local popularity with their simultaneous debut in Japan.

On the 11th, Oricon Japan revealed its latest chart rankings (for July 10). BND's first Japanese single "AND," topped the daily single chart.

BND has reached the top of the Oricon chart with three consecutive albums. Previously, their Korean releases, the first mini-album "WHY.." and the second mini-album "HOW?" both ranked number one on the same chart.

They proved their popularity in Japan. Within just two days of release, they sold 62,211 copies. Accumulated sales reached 163,472 copies by the second day of release. This is nearly double the sales of their previous works in the first half of the year.

"AND." contains a trilogy of first love stories and the subsequent narratives. It depicts the growth story of youth moving forward after experiencing first love and accepting breakups.

The album includes a total of four songs: the Japanese versions of "One and only," "Whateva," and "Earth, wind & fire," as well as the original track "Good day."

BND has embarked on full-scale activities to mark their debut in Japan. They are capturing viewers' attention through popular local music programs, gaining attention for their solid skills.

They started with TBS's "CDTV Live! Live!" on the 8th, and will appear on TBS's "Music Day 2024" on the 13th and NHK's "Venue 101" on the 20th, among various other shows and radio programs.

BND also plans to participate in Japan's largest music festival "Summer Sonic 2024" in August. They have also received love calls from major Japanese fashion magazines and will grace the covers of four magazines.
