BoyNextDoor reached a career high. Their new song recorded the highest score on domestic music charts. BoyNextDoor released their new digital single “One Day I Love You” on the 6th. Immediately upon release, it reached 17th on Melon’s ‘Top 100’.
Their easy listening strategy paid off. “One Day I Love You” continued to climb in the rankings. It started at 17th and rose to 9th, 6th, and ultimately 4th. Compared to their previous work, the increase is noticeable. “Earth, Wind & Fire” debuted at 89th. “Nice Guy” was 52nd. They also did well on global charts.
“One Day I Love You” started at 28th on Japan’s Line Music ‘Top 100’ chart and maintained the top spot until 7 a.m. on the 7th. It ranked on the iTunes Top Songs chart in 12 countries/regions. It captivated listeners worldwide, achieving 1st in Indonesia, 2nd in Thailand, and 5th in Japan and Taiwan.
The music video is also gaining popularity. It was uploaded to the HYBE Labels YouTube channel simultaneously with the song release and remains at the top of trending videos. “One Day I Love You” is a dance song depicting life after a breakup. The self-deprecating lyrics and lively band sound blend to complete this relatable breakup song. Meanwhile, BoyNextDoor is set to begin music show promotions.
