Billboard announced BoyNextDoor's performance on the 23rd (local time). BoyNextDoor's 3rd mini-album '19.99' ranked 40th on the 'Billboard 200' (as of September 28). This underscores BoyNextDoor's hot popularity. The 40th place record on the 'Billboard 200' is the highest ranking among 5th generation girl groups and boy groups.
They also broke their own record. Their 1st mini-album 'Why…' ranked 162nd, and their 2nd mini-album 'How?' entered at 93rd. The new album rose 53 places higher than that. You can feel BoyNextDoor's growth.
BoyNextDoor also ranked 4th on Billboard's 'Top Album Sales' chart. This chart calculates the most sold physical albums in the US for a week.
In this category, BoyNextDoor follows popular local artists such as Travis Scott, Eminem, and Miranda Lambert.
With this album, BoyNextDoor achieved their highest records in South Korea, the US, and Japan. According to Hanteo Chart, the initial album sales were 759,156 copies, a 43% increase from the previous release.
In Japan, as of September 23, they topped the Oricon weekly album ranking. They also ranked 1st on the weekly combined album ranking.
BoyNextDoor is a rookie group that debuted just a year ago. They became a hot rookie with their lifestyle-oriented music and unique performances.
Meanwhile, BoyNextDoor will kick off their first solo tour 'BoyNextDoor Tour Knock On Volume 1' on December 14-15 at Incheon Inspire Arena.
Next year, they will meet Japanese fans in Tokyo (January 30), Aichi (February 2), Osaka (February 8-9), Fukuoka (February 18-19), and Kanagawa (February 22-24).
After that, they will continue their world tour in Singapore (March 15), Manila (March 22), Bangkok (March 29), Taipei (April 3), Hong Kong (April 6), and Jakarta (April 12).
