A male body of unidentified identity was discovered in a commercial building in Gwonjiam-eup, Gwangju, prompting the police to launch an investigation.

According to the Gwangju Police Station on the 27th, a resident reported at around 3:40 PM that there was "a male body" in Gwonjiam-eup.

When the police arrived at the scene, they found the unidentified male body in a space approximately 1.5 meters wide between two commercial buildings. At the time, the body was wearing a shirt and underwear. Although lower garments were found near the body, it has not yet been confirmed whether they belong to the deceased.

The police explained that the level of decomposition of the body is severe, making it difficult to ascertain any signs of foul play at this time.

A police official stated, "We will first identify the victim through an autopsy at the National Forensic Service and then proceed with the investigation."
