A 60-year-old man who fell into the sea and went missing while riding a ferry off Incheon was found dead two months later.
According to the Incheon Coast Guard on the 24th, they received a report at 2:50 PM the previous day regarding a body floating in the sea near Moolchi Island in Dong-gu.
The Coast Guard, upon arrival, recovered a body that had significantly decomposed. Through fingerprint analysis, they confirmed the identity matched that of Mr. A, a 60-year-old man who had gone missing near Gu-eup Ferry Terminal in Jung-gu on February 24.
At that time, Mr. A had fallen into the sea while taking a 409-ton ferry from the Wolmido Ferry Terminal to the Gu-eup Ferry Terminal on Yeongjong Island.
A Coast Guard official stated, "There are no signs of foul play, but we plan to request an autopsy."
