The Netflix variety show "Black and White Chef: Culinary Class War" (hereafter "Black and White Chef") is returning for a second season. Netflix announced on the 15th that "'Black and White Chef' Season 2 is in production, with the aim of releasing it in the second half of next year, delivering an even more intense culinary class war."

The production team from Season 1 is coming together again. Kim Hak-min and Kim Eun-ji of Studio Slam will direct, and writer Mo Eun-seol will also be involved. The production team of "Black and White Chef" said, "Thanks to the viewers, we are able to proceed to Season 2. We appreciate it," and added, "We will strive to meet your expectations."

"Black and White Chef" is a cooking survival show that captivated the world with the fierce competition between black and white chefs, its overwhelming scale, and unpredictable results. The contrasting styles of judging also added to the entertainment factor. National cooking mentor Baek Jong-won and Michelin 3-star chef Ahn Sung-jae's evaluations opened a new horizon.

The show set an unprecedented record for Korean variety shows on Netflix by ranking first for three consecutive weeks in the Netflix Global Top 10 TV (Non-English) category, leading the K-cooking craze. Domestically, it also dominated in terms of topicality. According to Good Data Corporation, "Black and White Chef" topped the integrated topicality survey for three weeks in the first week of October.
