Han Duck-soo, "Failing to Honor the Unification Promise is Disrespectful to the Nation and the People"
Independent presidential candidate Han Duck-soo strongly urged candidate Kim Moon-soo to fulfill their unification promise.
On the 8th, after visiting the birthplace of former President Park Chung-hee, Han met with reporters and emphasized, "Those who do not keep their promise of unification are showing great disrespect to the nation and to those who care about the future, economy, and people's livelihoods of the Republic of Korea."

Han stated, "If one thinks about the country and the people, I will tell them to keep the promise that candidate Kim Moon-soo made: 'Once I become the candidate for the People Power Party, I will immediately begin discussions on unification with Han Duck-soo.'"
He added, "Although today’s schedule in Daegu was supposed to continue until evening, I will adjust my schedule to attend the meeting at 4 PM as requested by candidate Kim."
Differences Revealed in the Previous Meeting
Regarding the meeting the day before, Han expressed dissatisfaction, saying, "Yesterday, it seemed that candidate Kim did not bring any alternatives."
He mentioned, "It seems that candidate Kim and his team are constantly speaking things that are not factual, so after today’s meeting, I will clearly inform you about what is not true."

In particular, Han expressed strong displeasure, stating, "To say, 'I don’t understand why Han Duck-soo is running for president,' is really lacking in basic courtesy."
The day before, Han announced that he would not register as a full candidate if unification does not happen by the registration deadline on the 11th.
In response, candidate Kim, after meeting with Han, questioned the press, saying, "Who pulled up someone who has no intention of registering as a candidate at all?"
