A bar employee assaulted after demanding ID verification
A shocking incident occurred at a bar in Daejeon, where an employee who requested ID verification from a customer was assaulted and received death threats.
This incident took place on the night of the 16th at a bar in Daejeon, and on the 19th, photos and CCTV footage provided by a whistleblower, A, were released through JTBC's 'Incident Commander'.

According to the released footage, a group consisting of two men and one woman entered the bar.
Employee A tried to verify their IDs, but one of the men in the group was not carrying his ID. In response, the man made a video call to his mother to show his ID, and A confirmed it before allowing the group to enter the establishment.
The man, who did not have his ID at the time, even thanked A with a smile.
However, this peaceful situation did not last long. A short while later, the man approached A and requested, "Let's step outside to talk." When A refused, the man's demeanor suddenly turned violently aggressive.
The situation escalated to violence and death threats

According to A’s testimony, the problematic man said, "I'm actually a thug, and it was embarrassing for me to get my ID checked in front of my friends," adding, "You embarrassed me, and since I have a thug's pride, let's settle this outside."
While the bar owner went to report the situation to the police, the male customer swung his fist at A.
Caught off guard by the sudden assault, A was even pushed down the stairs.
Even after the police arrived on the scene, the man continued to threaten A with death.
He stated, "I have a mental illness, so even if the police come, I’ll be released quickly," "My father is also a gangster," "I will definitely stab you to death," and "We have 1 billion won at home, and I will either pay you 100 million won in settlement and kill you or just leave for the Philippines."

It has not been confirmed whether the man is actually affiliated with a violent organization.
The police said, "We cannot disclose specific details as they are personal information," but added, "There is nothing confirmed in the system." Additionally, the police explained, "The problematic man continued to curse and cause a scene even after being taken to the police station, so he was sent home due to the lack of a situation for an investigation, and we have requested him to appear next week."
A has filed charges against the man for bodily harm, and it is reported that he suffered significant injuries, including broken teeth and severe bruising on his jaw from the assault.
