Fire Breaks Out on Yacht Near Banpo Bridge… 6 Passengers Evacuate Urgently

At around 8:45 PM on the 8th, a fire broke out on a yacht that was docked on the Han River near Banpo Bridge in Seocho District, Seoul, causing a commotion as six passengers urgently evacuated.

According to the fire department, the six people on the yacht immediately evacuated at the time of the fire and received first aid from firefighters after being rescued. Fortunately, all were reported to have sustained only minor injuries, with no serious injuries reported.

Fire Under Control in 30 Minutes… Investigation Underway

Upon receiving reports of the yacht fire, the fire department promptly dispatched 19 vehicles and 61 personnel to the scene. The fire was completely extinguished at around 9:16 PM, approximately 30 minutes later.

Authorities are investigating the precise ignition point and cause of the fire. A fire department official stated, "We plan to identify the cause of the fire based on on-site inspections and testimonies from those involved."
