Apple TV+ series 'Pachinko 2' suffered unauthorized viewing in China.

Professor Seo Kyung-duk of Sungshin Women's University revealed on social media on the 6th, "'Pachinko Season 2' (hereafter 'Pachinko 2') is being controversially watched illegally in China."

In fact, there is a review page for 'Pachinko 2' on 'Douban.' As of 11 a.m. on that day, 530 users had given ratings, and a total of 96 reviews were posted.

Professor Seo pointed out, "Just like with 'Pachinko,' unauthorized viewing has become a norm," and criticized the lack of shame as appalling.

He condemned the Chinese government's double standards. During the Beijing Olympics, China took legal measures to protect the intellectual property rights of the Olympic mascot.

He pointed out, "Chinese authorities strictly controlled their own citizens to prevent the illegal distribution of the Olympic mascot 'Bing Dwen Dwen'."

This indicates awareness of the issue. He stated, "China is not unaware; it has knowingly overlooked unauthorized viewing of K-content."

Professor Seo demanded, "From now on, China should respect other countries' cultures and crack down on their citizens' illegal activities."

He also mentioned the role of the South Korean government, emphasizing, "We must focus on building solid systems to protect our content globally."

Meanwhile, 'Pachinko 2' is the sequel to 'Pachinko.' It tells the story of Sunja and her family who left Joseon and went to Japan during the Japanese occupation.
