A post announcing a "bomb threat at Giheung Station" was uploaded to an online community, prompting the police to begin tracking the author.

According to the Yongin Dongbu Police Station on the 23rd, a post was published at 9:25 AM that day with the title "Attention XXs living near Yongin Giheung Station."

The content stated, "A bomb has been hidden somewhere in Giheung Station," and, "I modified fireworks to create it, and it is set to explode at 6 PM on the 30th, a week from now."

The Jeonbuk Police Agency received a report from an internet user who confirmed the post and immediately requested cooperation from the Yongin Dongbu Police Station.

The Yongin Dongbu Police Station is currently conducting a search at Giheung Station to determine if any dangerous materials have been installed. They are also tracking the author through IP tracing.

A police official stated, "We are verifying the exact circumstances of the incident."

Meanwhile, the crime of public intimidation stipulates that anyone who openly threatens the lives or bodies of unspecified or multiple individuals can face up to five years in prison or a fine of up to 20 million won.
