The 'Red Flavor Festival' Establishes Itself as a Representative Festival of Goesan
The Goesan County in Chungbuk will host the '2025 Goesan Red Flavor Festival' from May 23 to 25 at the Goesan Organic Expo Plaza and along the Dongjin Stream.
With the theme "Ten Million Red Flowers Have Bloomed," this festival is the second event following its inaugural celebration last year.
This festival will showcase a variety of unique content that revolves around the color "red," inspired by Goesan’s representative agricultural product, red peppers, the kimjang culture, and spring flowers (such as poppies, zinnias, and roses).
This year, large-scale events such as a drone light show with 1,500 drones, a music fountain show, and a Hot Chicken and Beer Festival will be added to provide visitors with new sights and entertainment options.
A Diverse Range of Programs and Special Benefits
Key events will include the Red Flower Path Goesan Walking Competition, the National Red Dance Competition, the Red Flavor Cheerleader Competition, Random Dance by Dancing Bear, the Red Flavor Sports Day, the Goesan Youth Sports Day, and the Spicy Pride Food Fighter Competition.
Additionally, various experience programs will be offered, such as the Red Flower Butterfly Tunnel and Firefly Experience, Hot Pepper Planting Experience, Red Flower Art, and the Red Flavor Retro Concert.
Special benefits for visitors will also be prepared during the festival period. Visitors with a leaflet can receive a 10% discount at 25 participating restaurants, and admission fees for tourist sites like the Sanmaki Old Road Cruise and Jungwon Daebak Museum will be discounted by 30-50%.
Moreover, discounts and prize events will be offered to users of the Goesan Love Card, visitors wearing red clothing, and participants in social media verifications. A free printing service for 'Red Flavor Life Photos' will also be available on-site.
