Kim Moon-soo Campaign Personnel "There is No Reason for Kim Moon-soo and Jeon Kwang-hoon to Drift Apart" Controversy
When asked about the relationship between Kim Moon-soo, the presidential candidate of the People Power Party, and Pastor Jeon Kwang-hoon, a key figure in the conservative movement, a representative from Kim's campaign stated, "There is no reason for them to drift apart."
On the 12th, in an appearance on CBS Radio's "Kim Hyun-jung's News Show," former head of strategy planning Park Jong-jin mentioned, “The two were reportedly close. I believe they participated in the Taegeukgi (Korean national flag) movement in the past.”

Park, a former head of strategy planning in Kim's campaign, had previously occupied the People Power Party headquarters alongside Kim during the single-candidate turmoil with former Prime Minister Han Duck-soo.
Since then, Kim's campaign has disbanded and restructured into a new camp.
Controversy Over the Relationship Between Kim Moon-soo and Pastor Jeon Kwang-hoon
When asked if Kim and Pastor Jeon were close during the founding period of the Free Unification Party, Park responded, "They were close back then, so what is the reason for them to drift apart now without any reason?"
He stated, "Kim Moon-soo is friendly with everyone. Regardless of the situation, Pastor Jeon did lead the anti-impeachment movement, which is a fact." He added, "We must acknowledge what needs to be acknowledged. (Pastor Jeon) is being labeled as far-right, but we need to redefine the concept of far-right accurately."
However, Kim himself seems to be distancing himself from Pastor Jeon.

On the same day, after a campaign speech at the Daegu Seomun Market, when confronted by reporters about Pastor Jeon’s claim that "Kim's candidacy was thanks to me and the Gwanghwamun forces," Kim countered, "Isn't Pastor Jeon not a party member?"
He further clarified, "I am comprised of 50% party members and 50% general public. If he were a party member, there would be grounds for such claims, but he is not a member of our party," asserting that "many people say it is thanks to us."
Democratic Party’s Strategy to Attack the Connection Between Kim Moon-soo and Jeon Kwang-hoon
Meanwhile, the Democratic Party is reportedly adopting an election strategy that defines Kim Moon-soo as “the candidate raised by Jeon Kwang-hoon and supported by Yoon Seok-yeol.”
According to political circles, the "Campaign Message Reference Material for the 21st Presidential Election" prepared by the Democratic Party's Central Election Countermeasures Committee includes descriptions of Kim, stating, “Kim Moon-soo is engulfed in far-right ideology and conspiracy theories of electoral fraud. Voting for Kim Moon-soo is equivalent to voting for Jeon Kwang-hoon.”
