‘SHINee’s Taemin has shared his feelings on changing his career path.

On the 6th, Taemin opened up on the fan communication platform Bubble, saying, “I didn’t want to cause unnecessary worry, so I wanted to inform you carefully, but it turned out like this.”

He continued, “It seems I will be making a new start soon,” and “It’s a sensitive time to bring up such news. However, it didn’t seem right to stay silent without saying anything to those who care about me.”

He explained, “I decided to leave the company last year. I’ve had good discussions with the members. I’m thankful to everyone who has supported me up until now. Thank you for believing in my choice and for your support.”

Finally, he added, “Anywhere, anytime, I have been Lee Taemin and will continue to be so in the future. We’ve known each other for more than just a day or two. I believe there will be more good things to come, and I will make it so. Please look forward to SHINee and Taemin in the future.”

Meanwhile, SM Entertainment announced the end of their exclusive contract with Taemin on the 5th. SHINee activities will continue under SM. Individual activities will be determined in the direction each member desires.
