According to A's testimony, this enormous object surfaced and submerged repeatedly, swimming in the water for about 20 minutes.

Its estimated length is about 10m, and its thickness is reportedly greater than that of an adult.

A stated, "At first, I thought I had caught a fish, but the black object came closer and scared me, so I gave up fishing and retreated." He further explained, "It looked like there were two of them, not just one."

Various Speculations Surrounding the Identity of the Creature in the Han River

A described the situation when he discovered the mysterious creature, saying, "On the 7th, there hadn't been any heavy rain yet, so I don't think it was debris." He added, "It was an object of a certain size and thickness. I've been fishing for decades, but I've never seen anything like this."

A also released footage from that night, in which he expressed his shock, saying, "What is that? It's scary. It's coming this way." He then stated, "You can see it here. Something keeps floating around. I think I need to get out of here."

Speculations about the identity of this creature have been ongoing in YouTube comments and various online communities.

Some netizens claimed, "That's a otter. There are scenes where it sticks its head out and goes back in," and mentioned the possibility of multiple otters moving together. However, others refuted this, stating, "If it were an otter, it would frequently stick its head out and move more energetically. It's impossible to swim in the same pattern for 20 minutes."

Another speculation raised the possibility that "someone released a crocodile that had been kept in the Han River." Comments included opinions like, "The pet crocodile probably got too big to handle and was released," along with warnings such as, "Crocodiles can approach quietly and can be really dangerous."

This is not the first time stories of witnessing mysterious creatures in the Han River have surfaced.

In 2022, a video of a 10m long creature swimming in the Han River also went viral on social media, but it was eventually identified as a buoy, bringing that incident to a close. The identity of the object captured this time remains unclear and continues to fuel curiosity among the public.
