‘Ive’ leader Ahn Yu-jin will act as the MC for an awards ceremony. Starship Entertainment announced on the 27th, “Ahn Yu-jin will host the ‘2024 SBS Gayo Daejeon’ on the 25th of next month at Inspire Arena in Yeongjongdo, Incheon.” Ahn Yu-jin has been selected as the MC for ‘Gayo Daejeon’ for the fourth consecutive time.
She has received praise from viewers for her excellent hosting skills each year, leading live broadcasts with proficient and witty remarks. Ahn Yu-jin is actively involved in various fields, including her activities with Ive. She participated in the Disney 100th anniversary commemorative film ‘Wish’ and the Kakao Webtoon ‘The Great’ OST.
She also made her presence known in variety shows. Since 2022, she has showcased her natural talent in variety shows such as tvN’s ‘Earth Arcade’ and JTBC’s ‘Crime Scene Returns.’ She has established herself as a character known as ‘Clear-eyed Maniac,’ always showing a committed attitude to the concept. Her chemistry with PD Na Young-seok was also a hot topic.
Ahn Yu-jin was nominated and won the Popularity Award at the ’60th Baeksang Arts Awards’ in May. In July, she received the U+ Why Knots Trophy at the ‘3rd Blue Dragon Series Awards.’ In September, she was selected as the ‘Female Variety Idol’ for two consecutive years and achieved the feat of winning the Female Variety Idol category at the ‘2024 Brand of the Year Awards.’
This year, Ive held their first world tour. They performed 37 concerts in 28 cities across 19 countries, meeting approximately 420,000 fans. They concluded successfully with a finale at Tokyo Dome.
They also took the stage at global performance venues, demonstrating their impressive live skills at events like ‘Lollapalooza Chicago’ and ‘Summer Sonic 2024,’ establishing themselves as a performance-oriented group. Ive has been quickly named in the first lineup for ‘Lollapalooza Paris’ next year.
‘Lollapalooza Paris’ will be held on July 20th next year at Longchamp Racecourse in Paris, France.
