Lee Jae has achieved his dream with 'Golden' by reaching the top of the Billboard 'Hot 100' chart. An seemingly impossible goal has become a reality.

On the 14th, Lee Jae posted on social media, stating, "After giving up on the dream of being a K-pop idol and choosing the path of a composer, my dream became to write a song that would rank on the 'Hot 100' chart."

He continued, "Achieving number one seemed impossible. I want to thank everyone who made this dream possible. I also want to express my gratitude to those who have given much love and support to movies and music."

He also sent a message to his Korean fans, saying, "Thank you for all the love in Korea. I appreciate your help in making my dream come true. I promise to bring you even better songs in the future."

'Golden' reached number one on the main single chart 'Hot 100' on the 12th (KST). It surpassed the long-standing dominance of American singer-songwriter Alex Warren's 'Ordinary' since June.

This marks the ninth number one for a K-pop related song, following BTS's 'Dynamite,' and the solo songs 'Like Crazy' by Jimin and 'Seven' by Jungkook.

'Golden' is a song by the virtual girl group HuntRix from the Netflix series 'K-Pop Demon Hunters.' Teddy and 24 from The Black Label participated in its production. The song features Lee Jae, Audrey Nuna, and Lei Ami.

Lee Jae was a trainee at SM Entertainment and prepared in both the U.S. and Korea but did not debut. He later transitioned to becoming a composer, writing hits like Red Velvet's 'Psycho' and aespa's 'Amaggedon.'
