“An Essay of Memory, Left Behind”…’Exhibition’ Seo Dong-wook, Passed Away on the 18th

Former “Exhibition” member Seo Dong-wook, Deputy Representative of Morgan Stanley Private Equity, has passed away at the age of 50.

The funeral is being held in VIP Room 1 at Severance Hospital Funeral Hall in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul. The cause of death has not been disclosed. It is known that he had been suffering from a chronic illness.

Seo Dong-wook formed the band “Exhibition” with singer Kim Dong-ryul and was active as a bassist. They debuted in the music industry by winning the grand prize at the 1993 MBC ‘College Music Festival.’

Until the group’s disbandment in 1997, they released a total of three albums and produced numerous hit songs, including ‘Etude of Memory,’ ‘Stranger,’ ‘Drunken Truth,’ ‘Graduation,’ and ‘In a Dream.’

After the disbandment, he entered the financial sector, holding key positions at McKinsey & Company, Doosan Group, Alvarez & Marsal, and Morgan Stanley Private Equity.

Meanwhile, Seo Dong-wook’s funeral will be solemnly held at 11:40 a.m. on the 20th.
