Those who have reported their grievances through various social media and online communities claim that their accounts were suspended for allegedly violating serious guidelines such as 'child sexual exploitation or abuse' and 'community integrity violations.'

The problem arises when some users who requested a 'review' from Meta's customer service for their temporarily suspended accounts have found their accounts permanently deactivated.

Affected users are voluntarily coming together, sharing detailed accounts of their experiences through KakaoTalk open chat rooms. As of 8 a.m. on the 10th, approximately 6,000 people have joined the open chat room set up for this issue.

In response, Democratic Party lawmaker Choi Min-hee stated on her Facebook on the 6th, "Currently, there are a lot of complaints from users as Instagram is indiscriminately suspending accounts." She further explained that her office has confirmed that numerous complaints have been received at Meta's headquarters and they have officially begun assessing the situation.

She added, "We are actively working to resolve this issue and will communicate closely to alleviate user inconveniences as soon as the results of Meta's assessment are available."
